Behind them is a fantastic, hand-picked team of design and construction specialist consultants who are integral to the smooth procurement, imagining and construction of each project undertaken. From our legal advisors, to our architect and project manager and everyone in between, this means that the day to day of development on the ground is in their capable and experienced hands.
Michelle Lucas
Michelle brings with her solid and successful expertise and experience in property refurbishment and business. She is a real people-person, has a keen eye for detail and numbers, with a creative approach to business strategy.
Before turning to development full time, she built a portfolio of single let and HMO properties which has replaced her income and given her financial freedom. Her knowledge has been gained through hands-on experience renovating and managing the workmanship required to repurpose the properties in her portfolio from run down houses into comfortable homes.
In addition to Michelle’s experience in the world of property she has strong and ethical business acumen to draw on. Following her corporate career, she refurbished and managed a series of wine bars and restaurants. In 2006 she took ownership and operation of a run down pub with a low food trade. Michelle applied her expertise and within a year of a full refurbishment the business was successfully established. It now has a solid turnover in excess of ~£1 million.
Jo Balston
Jo is a creative. She brings the vision to reimagine spaces and realise the potential of an opportunity no matter what it looks like! Being hands-on and practical, she is well placed to influence the creation of spaces that not only look great and provide comfortable homes, but are also cost effective. She is influenced by the desire to provide spaces for people that are not only practical, but also nurture wellbeing and health. Every team needs a systems and processes person, and this is also where Jo also shines.
Her construction knowledge is drawn from her experience renovating her own properties and from her career in the world of commercial interior design. She worked alongside a number of developers, including Mace Group, BDP and Hampshire County Architects on projects in the UK, Abu Dhabi and the United States. She also manages a portfolio of corporate let properties. Giving back knowledge to others starting out in property is important for Jo, which she does as a Mentor with Property CEO.
